Evaluation Time

It’s evaluation time.

Time to see if I’ve been putting in work,

Or just wasting time.

I figured I could cram and just get by.

Each day proves to be a challenge,

One I can’t afford to miss.

My life is what I make it,

So you can believe I am going to make the best of it.

Looking around trying to find somebody that understands,

But each way I turn, beside me no one stands.

Shame on me, you would think I would know better by now.

But I guess I am only human, this is my only know how.

I’ve mastered the technique of making excuses.

I’ve grown to realize that this is the crutch for losers.

I’m a winner it’s in embedded in my DNA.

I’ve given up this habit because it’s not becoming in this day and age.

If I want to be somebody, I have to make it happen.

I can’t sit around waiting for somebody to tell me what’s happening.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying I depend on my own strength.

I am however, saying that I’m using my God given authority to break free and excel. Today is a present given to me by the Almighty.

I will use it to explore all my wonderful possibilities.
